Attorney says Injaz wanted political asylum in Turkey

Attorney Avital Horesh, who represents Nadim Injaz, a Palestinian man wounded at the Turkish embassy, told Ynet that his client collaborated with the Shin Bet and supplied Israel with much information on the West Bank, for which he is wanted by the Palestinian Authority.

Horesh said Injaz had been imprisoned in Israel due to criminal offenses he committed, after which "he was dropped off at a checkpoint in Judea and Samaria and, because he wanted to live, fled to Israel again". Because of this, the attorney said, he had sought asylum in Turkey. (Eli Senyor)
