Barzilai ER construction halted after tools sabotaged

The contractor working on the construction of the fortified emergency room at Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon filed a complaint with the police claiming construction tools at the site were sabotaged by unknown assailants. Consequently, work at the site was halted and Ashkelon Police launched an investigation.
The construction of the fortified emergency room began after the Israel Antiquities Authority removed graves from the site that some say belong to Jews. (Shmulik Hadad)
