Holocaust survivors to receive larger compensation from State
Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz instructed to enlarge the compensations given to Holocaust survivors retroactively from October 2009. Each recipient will get an additional NIS 750-1,300. The updated compensation plan will cost a total of NIS 52 million.
Minister Steinitz noted that "increasing the compensation before the holidays will help Holocaust survivors deal with the numerous expenses during this time period." (Yael Branovsky)
