Meretz chairman: IDF needs thorough probe of alleged flotilla theft

Member of Knesset Eitan Cabel (Labor) commented on the arrest of an IDF officer and soldier on suspicion of stealing laptop computers from the Turkish flotilla and selling them: "This is an embarrassing and degrading act. It is the IDF's duty to handle this case according to the strict letter of the law."
Meretz Chairman Chaim Oron called on the military to extensively investigate the incident, adding that "the multitude of cases in which there is an impingement of basic values requires the military to conduct a thorough investigation and treat the responsible elements." (Attila Somfalvi)
