Yishai: Decision on migrant workers' children won't change

None

Internal Affairs Minister Eli Yishai said his meeting with the prime minister's wife, Sara Netayahu, went very well. They talked about the issue of deportation of 400 children of migrant workers, and according to Yishai various ideas were raised.

"I have known Mrs. Netanyahu for many years," Yishai said at the end of the meeting via a notice issued in his name. "I value her extensive public involvement in social issues, especially the issue of children, which is close to her heart as a psychologist." However, Yishai also noted the government decision regarding the children would not be changed – a decision which he said is intended to "preserve the character of the State." (Roni Sofer)
