To Switzerland and back for €72
Low-cost airline to launch Tel Aviv-Basel route in early December in addition to four weekly Geneva return flights which will be available as of late August
Low-cost airline easyJet will start operating a Tel-Aviv-Basel route on December 5 with three weekly flights.
The price for a return ticket will start at €71.98 (about $91) including tax, but not including an in-flight meal, drinks or luggage loading.
Paul Simmons, easyJet CEO in Israel, told Ynet that the Tel-Aviv-London route, which was launched last year has proven a major success, with a seat occupancy of over 92%. The company initially estimated there to be an 80% capacity.
Following the success the company decided to add a seventh weekly flight to the existing six which will depart on Thursdays, Simmons noted. A ticket to the London flight costs 123 euros on average, according to Simmons.
The company is also scheduled to start operating four weekly flights to Geneva in late August.
It is slated to add more flights on the route towards the ski season.
