Local councils threaten to disrupt opening of school year

The heads of local councils are threatening to disrupt the opening of the new school year following erosion in the education budget which is provided by the Interior and Education ministries.
Shlomo Buchbut, chairman of the Union of Local Authorities sent a letter to Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar stating that local authorities are unable to meet their goals due to payment erosion, failure to meet agreements and budget issues. (Yael Branovsky)
