Quartet welcomes announcement of Israel, PA talks

The Quartet of world powers engaged in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process issued a statement calling both parties to accept US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's invitation to a summit on September 2nd.
The Quartet pledged its support, and reiterated Clinton's hope the a peace agreement could be achieved within a year. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
