Japan: If India continues nuclear tests, we'll suspend cooperation

None

Japanese Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada met his Indian counterpart Saturday to discuss civil nuclear cooperation between the two nations but cautioned India against testing any further nuclear devices. He told reporters in New Delhi that while there was no timeline for the conclusion of a deal, "Japan will have no option but to state that we shall suspend all cooperation" if India detonates another nuclear device.

India and Japan began negotiations on a civil nuclear deal in June and Okada's visit carried those talks further. (AP)
