Rivlin: Disconnect in defense establishment damages public trust in IDF

Knesset Chairman Reuven Rivlin said during a discussion in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, "The disconnect between elements in the defense establishment in Israel seriously damages the public's faith in the IDF. It is the Knesset's obligation to put an end to this disconnect."

Rivlin rejected claims that the Knesset has no foothold on the matter. "The silence of the rest of the establishments in light of this acute matter only increases the Knesset's obligation to discuss these matters, which are at Israel's core." (Attila Somfalvi)
