Steinitz demands gov't discussion on F-35I purchase

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz demanded that a new discussion be held reharding the purchase of the F-35I planes, contrary to Defense Minister Ehud Barak's judgement who authorized the deal last week.
At the end of the weekly government meeting Steinitz asked to re-examine the deal. "I've learned of the deal through the media…this deal has significant financial aspects, which warrant a government debate," he said. (Roni Sofer)
