Holyland: Polak says 'still hope' after police say he should stand trial

None

Former Deputy Jerusalem Mayor Yehoshua Polak, who served as chairman of the local Planning and Construction Committee which approved the extension of the controversial Holyland real estate project, said that police recommendations to try him have no influence.

"The State Prosecutor's Office needs to decide whether to submit an indictment, and this gives hope," he said. In a conversation with Ynet, Polak claimed he was innocent of the charges against him which include accepting bribes, fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and tax-related offences.
