There is consensus in Egypt's ruling party backing Hosni Mubarak, 82, to run again for the presidency in 2011 but any bid would depend on a decision by the president, the party's secretary-general said.
"We are just waiting for the decision of the president himself," Safwat Sherif told a magazine in an interview also carried by the official state news agency. (Reuters)
