Police say insurgents have killed eight Afghan policemen in a raid on a checkpoint outside the northern city of Kunduz.
Kunduz province police chief Abdul Raziq Yaqoubi says fighters from Chechnya who are active in the province were suspected of carrying out Thursday's attack. (AP)
