A toilet used by John Lennon has sold for £9500 pounds (USD 14,744), nearly 10 times its guide price, at an auction in Britain. The porcelain lavatory was used by the Beatles musician for three years when he lived at Tittenhurst Park in Berkshire, west of London, between 1969 and 1972.
Auction organizer Stephen Bailey said a private overseas buyer bought the toilet Saturday at the 33rd annual Beatles Convention in Liverpool. The toilet was expected to sell for £1,000. (AP)
