Finance minister: Revoke funding from theaters that boycott Ariel

None

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said funding to theaters refusing to perform in the new culture hall in Ariel should be revoked. He said, "The taxes that sustain those theaters are also paid by the residents of Ariel, and anyone interfering in this should not be employed in the State of Israel."

Steinitz harshly criticized the actors who said they would refuse to perform in the settlement, and said "Ariel is a town in Israel just like Beersheba or any Arab town. I hope that anyone who does not honor their contract finds themself out of the theater. There's a limit to everything." (Ronen Medzini)
