The High Court of Justice rejected a petition filed by the parents of Ehud Shneor, who died during Duvdevan Unit training in 2002. The soldier's parents requested his company commander and department commander be prosecuted for his death.
The judges criticized the commanders' conduct, and Justice Yoram Danziger wrote in the ruling that "the circumstances leading to Shneor's death compel every IDF commander to know his story and know how not to act." (Aviad Glickman)
