Saudi teachers stage rare protest to demand jobs

None

Two hundred teachers have rallied in the Saudi capital, calling on the government to give them jobs.

The demonstrators, mainly Arabic language teachers, crowded inside the Ministry of Education building Sunday and demanded a meeting with the minister. Police were summoned to control the situation. The teachers said some of them graduated ten years ago but were still not employed. The Ministry of Civil Service says there are more graduates available than jobs. (AP)
