J'lem man charged with spying for Muslim Brotherhood

None

The Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against Ahmed Awad, 22, from Jerusalem for liaising with a foreign agent on Monday.

The indictment suggests that during his studies in Cyprus Awad was recruited to the Muslim Brotherhood, met with a Hamas militant and discussed intelligence collection in the Jerusalem area. The indictment further suggests that Awad participated in the organization's security training last July and returned to Israel under a different name. (Aviad Glickman)
