White House on talks: Sides are serious, but it won't be easy

White House Spokesperson Robert Gibbs backed off expectations that a final-status agreement will be reached during the upcoming direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians in Washington. He said that both sides had to take steps to show they are serious, but that doesn't mean the process will easy.
He added that the US has always supported the idea that the best way of solving the conflict is for both sides to sit together at the table to and to talk. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
