Iraq warns neighbors away as US ends combat

Iraq has told its neighbors that a US troop withdrawal will not leave a security vacuum and warned them against trying to interfere in Iraqi affairs, Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari said on Tuesday.

"We have warned all of them there wouldn't be any vacuum, and if there would be a vacuum, the only people who will fill that vacuum are the Iraqis themselves," Zebari told Reuters as US forces formally ended combat operations in Iraq. (Reuters)
