Ban Ki-moon condemns fatal West Bank shooting attack
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon issued a statement of condemnation against Tuesday's fatal shooting attack near Hebron in which four residents of Beit Hagai were murdered.
Ban wrote that the attack is a cynical attempt to undermine the direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians and noted that negotiations are the only path to solving the conflict. He called upon both sides to show "leadership, courage, and responsibility." (Itzhak Benhorin, Washington)
