Budgetary deficit for August: NIS 3.7 billion
The government finished August with a budgetary deficit of some NIS 3.7 billion (almost $1 billion), the Finance Ministry said. The relatively large deficit is mainly due to periodic expenses connected to interest payments and debt payments to the National Insurance Institute.
Since the beginning of the year, the accumulated state budget deficit has reached some NIS 14.3 billion ($3.8 billion). (Ynet)
