Cabinet okays Galant appointment as IDF chief
The cabinet has approved the appointment of Major-General Yoav Galant as the IDF 20th chief of staff.
During the cabinet meeting, Defense Minister Ehud Barak explained his plan to shorten the IDF chief's term to three years with the option of a one-year extension. (Attila Somfalvi)
