Iran tries to reassure it Sunni Arab neighbors
Iran's president has tried to ease concerns among neighboring Sunni Arab states that Tehran could target them if armed conflict were to break out with the West over Iran's disputed nuclear program.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday during a trip to the tiny Gulf emirate of Qatar that there is a need for "comprehensive reconciliation and vast cooperation" between Shiite-dominated Iran and other Gulf nations. (AP)
