RichDate website. Rich men, pretty women required

Dating website targets rich men, beautiful women

RichDate promises to connect wealthy men with attractive women. Men will be rated according to user comments, financial data; women - according to surfer ratings

Some claim the Israeli society is becoming increasingly materialistic. A new dating website is one example of this assertion.

RichDate targets very specific people: Wealthy men who seek a young and beautiful life companion and attractive women who are interested in men who can finance them.

Anyone who does not meet this criteria will not be accepted into the site. Users who have been found to be less than truthful about their profiles will be removed by administrators.

"This dating website is for all women searching for a wealthy husband and all men looking for a beautiful and accomplished wife. We believe in connecting money with beauty for eternal happiness," the site states.

"It is common knowledge that many women look for wealthy husbands and many wealthy men look for beautiful women," one of the site's founders Yuval Katz says. He claims the phenomenon exists in all levels of society. According to Katz the website provides an online solution for a familiar social need.

Katz notes that the website targets people of "good standing" such as lawyers, company owners, CFOs, pilots, actresses, models and business women.

The site filters men and women in a completely different manner.

In order to establish who is indeed rich as proclaimed the website's managers use comments from other net surfers as well as fact checking database allowing them access to personal financial data. The website's owners told Ynet that they plan on carrying out comprehensive research on all users using an outside financial rating mechanism.

Another method of filtering users is admission rates. Though not currently required, in the future male users will be asked to pay particularly high user fees.

Surfers ranking beauty

Whereas the site's managers are those determining who is rich and who is not, ranking beauty is left up to the surfers.

While access to the site is currently free, Kats says that soon surfers will determine who can register and who cannot. Female users will have to undergo filtering through a rating system. Surfers will determine weather a potential user is beautiful enough to register.

Currently, a large part of female users do not have a profile picture.

Kats notes that users deemed not attractive enough will be removed from the site.

InterDate, the company that owns the website, operates a variety of targeted dating sites including those for people with disabilities, lesbians and couples interested in having children outside wedlock.
