Defense Minister Ehud Barak has frozen the work of the Brik Committee into the Galant affair, according to a letter sent by an assistant of the attorney general to Att. Rami Bublil which asked that the committee's activities be delayed.
Att. Raz Nizri, assistant to Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, wrote that the committee's activities are liable to disrupt the criminal proceedings, and noted that the committee could continue to hold debates but should not seek evidence at this stage or summon witnesses. (Aviad Glickman)
