State Control Committee to convene over military conversions affair
Chairman of the Knesset's State Control Committee MK Yoel Hasson (Kadima) said he will convene the committee following the State's announcement, according to which military conversions are conducted without certified judges, and are not approved by the Chief Rabbinate.
"The State Prosecutor's Office's announcement yesterday in the Supreme Court, which casts doubt on the conversion of 4,600 soldiers, is scandalous," said MK Hasson, and urged the State and Chief Rabbinate to recognize the conversions. (Roni Sofer)
