Druze religious scholars may visit Syria once a year

Interior Minister Eli Yishai has decided to adopt the recommendations of Amnon Ben Ami, director of the Population and Immigration Authority, and ease restrictions on Druze religious scholars seeking to enter Syria from the Golan Heights.
The ministry has decided that 700 Druze men would be allowed to visit Syria for four days once a year, in order to visit the tomb of Prophet Habil. (Yael Branovsky)
