Clinton: Talks can succeed of initial obstacles are overcome

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday she believed those pessimistic about the chances of the peace process maturing into an agreement were wrong.

 

Clinton hinted to the problematic issue of the settlement freeze, saying that a key step would be overcoming "initial obstacles." She added both leaders seem to realize this may be the last chance to achieve lasting peace. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
