Pirates hijack cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden

The European Union's anti-piracy force says Somali pirates have hijacked a cargo ship carrying ballast in the Gulf of Aden.
The MV Olib G and its crew of 18 were hijacked early Wednesday, the force says in a statement. The crew consists of 15 Georgian and three Turkish sailors. The USS Princeton received a report a hijacking may be in process but it was unable to contact the ship. (AP)
