A suicide car bomber hit a central market in southern Russia on Thursday, killing at least 17 people and wounding more than 130 in one of the North Caucasus region's worst attacks in years, officials said.
The bomber detonated his explosives as he drove by the main entrance to the Vladikavkaz market, the Emergency Situations Ministry said. (AP)
