Imam associates: No deal on ground zero mosque

The New York imam at the center of a controversy over a planned Islamic cultural center near the World Trade Center has not agreed to move the center to a less controversial site, sources close to the imam told Reuters on Thursday.
The sources denied the assertion of a fundamentalist Christian pastor in Florida that an agreement had been reached to move the project. Terry Jones made the claim in a televised news conference, saying he called off plans to burn copies of the Koran on Saturday's ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. (Reuters)
