US President Barack Obama said during a memorial ceremony at the Pentagon marking the 9/11 attacks that those behind the attacks want to cause conflict but the US will never be at war with Islam.
They attacked the base of America, he said, and all that Americans believe in. They are trying to prevent America from being America, he added, but the US will stand as one nation before God, believing in freedom and justice for all. (News agencies)
