Clinton seeks meeting with Lieberman after he cancels US trip
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman canceled his participation in a conference of democratic countries that will be held this week in the US. At the behest of the US administration, Lieberman will meet with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her visit to Israel.
Lieberman's office reported that he canceled his US trip "because of the negotiations with the Palestinians." However, Foreign Ministry officials confirmed that he changed his plans because of Clinton's request to meet in Israel. (Attila Somfalvi and Roni Sofer)
