Hundreds attend funeral of Merkava tank developer Israel Tal

Hundreds of people, including senior officials of the defense establishment, have arrived for the funeral of Major-General (res.) Israel Tal in Rehovot. Among those present are President Shimon Peres, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi.
"We say goodbye to Talik today but the fruits of his labor will follow Israel for generations to come," Barak said during the service. (Ynet)
