Egyptian security forces arrested 12 gold traders from Cairo for suspicion of helping the bodyguard of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh smuggle large amounts of gold into Gaza through underground tunnels.
Egyptian newspaper Al Masry Al Youm said the bodyguard, Muhammad Naim, was arrested in Cairo six months ago after it was proven he had taken part in the smuggling of gold and money into the Strip. (Roee Nahmias)
