Over the last decade Linkin Park has succeeded in maintaining its position as one of the world's biggest rock acts. It rose to fame some 10 years ago, at the height of the nu metal hysteria.
Nevertheless, the band's music always showcased its pop sensibility. Thus far it has sold more than 50 million albums around the world.
The band released its fourth album "A Thousand Suns" on Tuesday. It is co-produced by band leader Mike Shinoda and top music producer Rick Rubin.
