Paris: Police evacuate Eiffel Tower after receiving threats of bomb

French police evacuated the Eiffel Tower and the adjacent park, Champs de Mars, due to threats that an explosive device had been buried there. Police received reports of a suspicious object at the site. Police began evacuating some 25,000 people who were visiting the tower and the park. (AFP)
