Clinton meets Peres, says hopes for favorable outcome in talks

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with President Shimon Peres at his residence in Jerusalem Wednesday and said that having spoken to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas she believes both parties understand the repercussions of the peace process.
Clinton added that she is praying for an outcome that will be in everyone's best interest. Peres responded that he believes both sides know there is no alternative to negotiations. (Ronen Medzini)
