Prosecution: Hanegbi support letters irrelevant

None

The prosecutor in the trial of MK Tzahi Hanegbi, who was convicted of perjury but absolved of nepotism charges, said during the argumentation of punishment hearing at the Jerusalem District Court, that the letters filed by public figures in support of Hanegbi were an irrelevant consideration.

Attorney Erez Padan hinted that the prosecution will demand moral turpitude, and said, "The defendant's good deeds are irrelevant as a consideration of punishment." (Aviad Glickman)
