Crowley: Arms sale to Israel, Saudi Arabia in US's interest
US State Department Spokesman Phillip Crowley said Thursday that arms sale to "allies such as Israel or Saudi Arabia" was in the national interest of the United States.
Crowley refused to comment on recent reports that the US will sell $60 billion worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia but defended the cooperation with Riyadh by pointing to Saudi concerns of Iran gaining strength. (AFP)
