At least 20 killed in accidental blast in Sri Lanka, police say

An accidental explosion of a container carrying explosives killed at least 20 people on Friday near the eastern Sri Lankan city of Batticaloa, the military said.

"Twenty people have been killed, including two foreigners," a spokesman at the Media Centre for National Security told Reuters on customary condition of anonymity. (Reuters)
