The bodies of three Independent Election Commission (IEC) officials kidnapped during voting in Saturday's parliamentary poll have been found, the chairman of the IEC said on Sunday.
IEC chairman Fazl Ahmad Manawi said the bodies were found on Sunday in northern Balkh province. The Taliban vowed to disrupt the poll and staged more than 300 attacks on Saturday, security officials said. The IEC said on Saturday at least 14 people had been killed. (Reuters)
