UK pledges extra 70 million pounds aid for Pakistan

Britain said Sunday it would commit an additional 70 million pounds ($110 million) to help victims of flooding in Pakistan to rebuild homes and schools and to restart agricultural production.

 

UK's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, who visited the flood-hit areas at the start of September, called the crisis a "slow-moving tsunami". (Reuters)
