IDF chief: Eizenkot to stay in Northern Command another year

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi said Major General Gadi Eizenkot will remain head of the Northern Command for another year to "contribute from his experience and ability."
Ashkenazi told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that he and the incoming IDF chief, Major General Yoav Galant, are working in full cooperation and that he would leave his post in February, as planned. (Roni Sofer)
