Chief of Staff Lt.Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi criticized the decision to announce his replacement before the end of his tenure.
In a discussion at the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Ashkenazi said that the replacement must be announced two to three months before the end of the chief if staff's tenure. (Roni Sofer)
