Livni: Barak caused 'bad blood' in IDF

Kadima Chairwoman Tzipi Livni leveled criticism at Defense Minister Ehud Barak in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. She said, "It is unfitting that Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi, after such splendid service, should have to go through what he has been through in recent weeks."
Livni claimed that the source of the problem is "the defense minister's insistence to start the switch process months prior to the proper time," adding that "the defense minister's decision led to unnecessary bad blood in Israel's most sensitive establishment." (Roni Sofer)
