Iranian chief of staff: 'Our forces for defense only'

Iran's military chief General Hassan Firouzabadi said Iran's army is for defensive purposes only. "Iran's great military capabilities will deter potential attackers, and defend our state from our enemies' threats," he said during a ceremony marking 30 years since the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq war.
