Defense Minister Ehud Barak met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in New York, on the backdrop of fears of a deadlock in peace talks if Israel renews construction in West Bank settlement.
Barak has been holding a series of meetings with senior American officials in the past few days, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. (Attila Somfalvi)
